There is now a multi-level marketing (MLM) business established to provide hemp and wellness related products to the masses. Hemp is a plant that has been around for thousands of years capable of producing food, fuel and fiber and is used in numerous applications including textiles, paper and composites for manufacturing. According to myhempsystem.com, hemp contains less than 1% THC, the psychoactive ingredient in Cannabis Sativa Linnaeus. In other words, hemp is to marijuana as non-alcoholic beer is to beer.

What is The Hemp Network?

The Hemp Network is an MLM based division of Medical Marijuana Inc. Medical Marijuana Inc. is an Oregon corporation founded in March of 2009 that delivers an efficient and secure infrastructure for the Medical Marijuana Industry. The creators of The Hemp Network believe there is a growing demand for hemp based products so they are responding to that demand by setting up a multi-level marketing model for its distribution.

Who Is Behind It And When Did It Start?

Don Steinberg and Bruce Perlowin are heading up the company. The only thing they have done in the past is create the world’s largest telecom network marketing company in the world. I guess that’s good enough right? They bring that experience plus a team of advisors and associates that include immunologists, formulators, Doctors, PhD’s, marketing teams, software engineers and more.

According to Npros.com, The Hemp Network has been in pre-launch and was set to officially launch on June 1, 2010. However, on thehempnetwork.com, it mentions that the company was beginning pre-launch on August 28, 2010. Either way it looks like the company is gaining momentum with over 1,000 International Hemp Consultants (IHC) so far. In addition, the parent company, Medical Marijuana Inc., is planning the largest cannabis/wellness event ever held in the Midwest at the Pontiac Silverdome in Michigan in late October 2010.

What’s The Compensation Plan?

According to myhempsystem.com, there is no cost to be a member of The Hemp Network. The company is using a hybrid pay plan that is a Unidirectional Global Power Leg on the front end where everyone who signs up goes under each other on a first in basis, with a Unilevel pay plan on the back end. What? Ok, where’s Amway and their circles when you need them? I need to see this drawn out on paper! Anyway, the easiest way to put it is that when you sponsor someone into The Hemp Network, that person appears in the Global Power Leg at the bottom and on your first level on your back end Unilevel. They are using the Global Power Leg for bonuses and a motivation factor for IHC’s so they see all the people below them. Makes perfect sense right?

Is The Hemp Network A Viable Opportunity?

The fact that the hemp industry has been around for thousands of years and that the product has such a wide variety of uses is a very big advantage. The question is, can The Hemp Network compete in the crowded wellness category of products? Being the first company to bring hemp to network marketing gives them a good start for sure. It also helps to have two guys running the show that have built massive MLM companies in the past.

Deciding to join The Hemp Network and learning how to build it successfully are two different things – if you want to MASTER the skills of building an MLM business, you need to set up your sales funnel first.
